Powerboating
At WSC/Reva we are able to offer three RYA Powerboating courses.
- RYA Powerboat Level 1 - Start Powerboating
- RYA Powerboat Level 2 - Powerboat Handling
- RYA Safety Boat Course
Length of course and prices vary.
Age group :18 years and above.
Powerboat Permit Training and Assessment Course
We are holding a Scout powerboat training and assessment course incorporating an RYA Powerboat Certificate, which is open only to members of the Scout and Guide Associations and members of Wharfedale Scouts Sailing Centre. The course is intended for novices and those with limited powerboating experience. See "Level 2 Power Announcement" below. To book onto the course please complete the application form below and return it with a cheque for £100.
Safety Boat Permit Training and Assessment Course
We are holding a Scout powerboat training and assessment course incorporating an RYA Safety Boat Certificate, which is open only to members of the Scout and Guide Associations and members of REVA.
The course is aimed at experienced powerboat drivers who hold the Powerboat Level 2 certificate who are regular sailors (at least RYA Level 2 Standard).
To book onto the course please complete the application form below and return it with a cheque for £100 or visit our Bookings page.
As these courses are permit training and assessment courses we would expect that members of the Scout Association would be eligible for a grant of 50% of the cost of the course from Gilwell.
